Physical Science develops through a series of scientific processes and cannot be understood by memorization, but rather requires understanding concepts so physicists use various forms representation. The mathematical representation approach is often used in physics learning. This study aims to examine more deeply the ability students SMA Negeri 1 Cluring class XI MIPA solving mechanical wave problems. research method descriptive quantitative. data collection technique written test consisting five description questions based on representations material, interviews, observations, documentation. results obtained average matter problems thanks "excellent" category 68.89%, "good" 9.29%, "good enough" 8.69%, "not good" 1.90%, 11.24% categorized as fail using matter.
